The Sunday night Women's Bible Study will begin a six-week study on October 3 at 7:00 pm as we examine our prayer lives through the Psalms. In our study guide, "Sessions with Psalms: Prayers for all Seasons," Eric and Alicia Porterfield explore what it looks like for the words of the psalms to become the words of our prayers with thought-provoking questions that prompt a deeper experience with the scriptural passages.

Reflecting on this study, the Porterfields say, "The book of Psalms is the church’s prayer book. These are our prayers. If we are looking for ten easy steps to prayer, then the psalms are not the right option. But if we want to deepen our relationships with God and each other, our understanding of ourselves and of Scripture, and open ourselves to transformation, then the psalms are exactly the right word."
